Internet Data Exchange
MLXchange includes three Internet Data Exchange (IDX) options to suit the needs of individual agents and large brokers alike.
DataLink
MLXchange’s first-tier IDX option uses our proprietary DataLink tool to facilitate the secure transmission of bulk listing information and images from the MLS to authorized members via FTP. This method provides a simple, convenient way for large brokers to download raw MLS data that they can then host and display on their public Web sites in any customized format they want.
IDX Search Links
For brokers and agents who already have a Web site but not the technical expertise or resources to maintain their own searchable database of listings, MLXchange offers a second IDX option that provides a fully hosted listing search interface that can be easily incorporated within an existing Web site through a special IDX Search Link.
Each IDX Search Link is associated with a particular agent or broker. The contact information that is shown with each listing is determined by the MLS on an ID-by-ID basis to conform to your specific IDX rules. Leads are either pushed to the Web site owner, the Web site owner’s broker, or the agent that owns the listing. Data is refreshed dynamically with the MLS, guaranteeing that consumers always have access to the most up-to-date information possible. The IDX search interface can also be used to power your association Web site’s public listing search for no additional charge.
MLX Professional
For brokers and agents who do not have an existing Web site, a third IDX solution is available through MLX Professional. MLX Professional provides agents with a complete, fully hosted Web site that contains a search interface similar to the one available through an IDX Search Link. MLX Professional Agent Web Sites are template-based, and the IDX search interface is formatted to match the selected site template.
